"My experience with that car was extremely horrible! A good friend purchase the car from the last owner who had it sitting in storage for approximately 2 yrs. He work as a tractor trailer driver and didn't have much time for the car, so he gave it to me at the toll price from Virginia ($300.). He never really drove the car since he purchase it because he's always on the road. The appearance was pretty ok, but talk about mechanical problems! The hood couldn't open because the hood cable was broken (that cost me appx $300. to fix). They had to break the hood latch and that had to be replaced. Then the passenger side window wasn't operable (that cost appx. $250. altogether). Then the body throttle needed replacing and re-programing (that cost appx $600), a Volvo dealer battery (another $245.). Registration $214. After having the care for appx. 2 mths the engine went -- that was the straw that broke the camel back. I donate the car to the children's foundation. All together I spent appx $4500, before donating the car. What a waste of money. I will never purchase a Volvo ever. Every thing is electric module this, electric module that. For the little time I had the car it drove fine, but talk about mechanical problems. The only reason I spent that amount on the car is because I fell in love with the car. The interior and exterior was in excellent condition, but the 3 previous owners never took care of the car. In fact, the car had 4 recalls. Folks, stay far away from Volvo ... they very good cars safety and driven wise, but very very very high maintenance."
