Question: Trans goes into LIMP mode at 4th gear
New here so would like to say hello first, hello all.
4 speed 41TE trans. The fluid and filter are good, fluid is very much "red" and no burnt smell. Trans shifts fine 1st-3rd but as soon as it shifts to 4th the engine will rev up like 4th is gone. It will kick into passing gear if I mat the gas but as soon as I let off the gas and go back to cruz in third, as soon as it shifts to 4th.. revs again. I can however get down the rd in low and in 3rd.
I've been driving around town in 3rd without any problems, just hard on gas.
Does anyone have any ideas, I'm at a loss
