Question: oil cap really dirty inside
i bought this car and remembered to check the dipstick, but didn't open the oil cap. the oil was low, and i put a qt in. but i noticed inside the oil cap was really dirty. gunky. i cleaned it, then researched it. one bit of advice says to just change the oil, then change it more frequently twice, then switch to a synthetic blend so i can go back to an extended oil change plan.
the other advice i read was to get the dirtiness flushed first.
unsure on which to do.
how do you decide if a flush is best first?
